Following the footsteps of the Australian Gold Kangaroo and the Australian Silver Kookaburra, the Australian Emu Series offers both gold and silver bullion coins, with both options rooted in 1 oz options.
All of these 2022 1 oz Australian Gold Emu Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The 1 oz gold coins in this listing come individually packaged in plastic capsules. Multiples of 20 coins arrive in capsules sealed together in plastic rolls. Multiples of 100 are available in boxes with a total of five rolls inside.
On the obverse of 2022 Australian Gold Emu Coins, you will find the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II from Jody Clark. Designed for the Royal Mint in 2015, this sixth-generation portrait to grace Australian coins and features Her Majesty at the age of 89. This image shows the Queen in right-profile relief wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown.
The reverse side of the 2022 1 oz Gold Emu Coin comes with the newest image in the Australian Emu Series. The emu is the world’s second-largest bird. Though it stands more than six feet tall, it does not have large enough wings to fly and is behind only in the ostrich in terms of overall size among avian species. In this design, the right-profile image of an emu with its small head and long neck feature in the foreground. The background offers a left-profile depiction of the full body of the emu. This side of the coin also features a micro-laser letter engraved as a security element to deter counterfeiting. It is only visible under magnification.
