In 1888, the company now known as Ascaro was originally founded as American Smelting and Refining Company. Much of the company’s history has consisted of copper mining, smelting, and refining at three sites spread across the state of Arizona. The company also operated a silver mining operation in Idaho. Today, Ascaro’s headquarters remain in Tucscon, Arizona, with a copper refinery located in Amarillo, Texas, that has also previously refined industrial silver bars.
On the obverse of 977.9 oz Ascaro Silver Bars, you will find simple markings stamped into the bar. These include the weight and purity of the bar, as well as a serial number. The reverse of these bars is blank.
The 977.9 oz Ascaro Silver Bar available here comes to you inside a protective box for delivery. The bar and box are packaged in a cardboard box for shipping. This is a Secondary Market bar, meaning JM Bullion did not receive it directly from the original manufacturer. The bar may show nicks, scratches, dings, dents, and other possible flaws. Also, toning of the silver is common on older products and is a result of the natural oxidation process. This will not impact the value of the silver.
