Known as The Square, the first of these new offerings combines the images of Chiwoo Cheonwang from the 2020 release with the Zi:Sin figure from 2020, Rattus. The new The Square release brings KOMSCO’s top gold medal designs together on a singular, unique form of gold bullion. Though in the shape of a traditional rectangular gold bar, KOMSCO has issued these specimens with the same value it assigns to its major medal releases: the Clay. Each one of the gold bars has its value of 1 Clay prominently display on the obverse field.

For the obverse design element of 2020 South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang The Square Rattus Gold Bars, you will find the all-new Do ggae bi image that debuted on the 2020 range of bullion from KOMSCO. This updated vision of Do ggae bi comes with enhanced prominence for the eyebrows, nostrils, and horns of the beast, with a wry smile now gracing its face as opposed to the previous snarling figure. Inscriptions and designs on the obverse are arranged vertically down the face of the gold bar.

In the reverse field, the 2020 1 oz Chiwoo Cheonwang The Square Rattus Gold Bar comes with depictions of both Chiwoo and Rattus. The figure of Rattus is on the left, with a veil over her eyes and a ribbon swirling around her outstretched left hand. Chiwoo is depicted nearby as found on the 2020 gold medals, standing in full battle armor with his shield at his side and sword at the ready. These design elements are arranged horizontally from the left to right on the bar’s surface. Both sides of the gold bars have a visual texture to the background field.
