1890s Antique English old mine diamond solitaire ring
Antique old mine diamond solitaire ring. Set with a cushion shape old mine diamond, colour K, clarity VS1, with an approximate weight of 3.02 carats, in an open back claw setting, to an elegantly structured collet with curving claws, intricately pierced details and shaped backholing, flanked by trumpeting shoulders with undulating ridged details terminating to grooved ribbing which smooth to a solid D–shape shank. Marked 18 carat gold, English, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America report #6225957276. UK finger size M 1/2.
