There were four mints striking Morgan Silver Dollar Coins from 1878 to 1904. Only two of those mints, Philadelphia and San Francisco, struck the coins every year during this period. The New Orleans Mint was the next most active mint, striking the coins every year except 1878. The Carson City Mint, on the other hand, issued the coins from 1878 to 1885 and again from 1889 until its closure in 1893. These 1885-CC Morgan Silver Dollars represent the last strike of the coins from this original, continuous production cycle.

All 1885-CC Morgan Silver Dollars in this listing come to you with an impressive Mint State 67 grade from the NGC. Coins in this condition have original luster with no more than three to four small contact marks. These contact marks are minuscule and only one or two will be within the primary focal fields of the coin.

On the obverse of 1885-CC Morgan Silver Dollars is an effigy of Lady Liberty. This left-profile portrait of Liberty was created by George T. Morgan with Anna Willess Williams serving as the model for his image of Liberty.

The reverse side of the 1885-CC Morgan Silver Dollar comes with an image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. In this unique design, the bald eagle is set in front-facing relief without the US national shield included. The bird clutches the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons.
