The Queen’s Beast Collection was available from the Royal Mint from 2016 to 2021. The series was bookended by single-design releases in 2016 and 2021, but each year in between offered two designs per date mark to reach a total of 10 beasts in all. From the Lion of England to the Greyhound of Richmond, the series took collectors and investors on a trip back through 800-plus years of British history.

Queen Elizabeth II is on the obverse of 2021 Proof British Silver Queen’s Beast Collection Coins. This design from Jody Clark was created in 2015 for the Royal Mint as the fifth-generation portrait of the Queen. It depicts Her Majesty in right-profile relief with the George IV State Diadem Crown on her head.

In the reverse design of 2021 1 Kilo Proof Silver Queen’s Beast Collection Coins, the mint features the same portrait of Her Majesty at the center of the design field. This smaller bust of the Queen is surrounded by the images of all 10 heraldic beasts featured throughout the 10-coin series.
