The unique V75 Privy Proof American Eagle Coins from the United States Mint offer two options, each with a different mintage. The Proof American Silver Eagle with the mark had a limited mintage of 75,000 coins, an honorary figure denoting the 75th anniversary of the war’s conclusion. These Proof American Gold Eagles have an honorary mintage of 1,945 coins, signifying the end of the war in 1945.
All of these 2020-W 1 oz V75 Privy Proof American Gold Eagle Coins are available with a near-perfect certification from the PCGS. Coins in PF69 condition have full, original mint luster and a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. At this grade level, you will find only minuscule contact marks or hairlines as the possible flaws, and these must be located outside of the primary focal points of the coin.
In addition to the PF69 grade, these coins come with Deep-Cameo and First Strike labels. DCAM is reserved for coins with strong, frosted designs overlaying deeply-mirrored, clear background fields. First Strike coins are those received by the PCGS for certification within the first 30 days of release by the US Mint.
On the obverse of the 2020–W 1 oz Proof American Gold Eagle Coin is a depiction of Lady Liberty. Developed in 1907, this design from Augustus Saint-Gauden depicts Liberty in front-facing relief as she walks toward the viewer holding a torch aloft in one hand and an olive branch in the other.
The reverse side of 2020–W 1 oz V75 Privy Gold Eagle Coins comes with the family of bald eagles. This design was created in 1986 by Miley Busiek and features on the Gold Eagle for the final time in 2020. It shows a male eagle in flight above the nest, with a female eagle in the nest next to a hatchling.
